Nuria Net

Nuria Net is the founder and CEO of Shake It Easy Media, a content studio that connects brands with the vastly diverse Latine audience through relevant and authentic storytelling.
Nuria has 20 years experience shaking things up in media and Latine culture globally through her successful track record as a music journalist and digital entrepreneur in companies such as MTV, Univision, Latina Magazine and more.
In 2019, she co-founded the podcast studio La Coctelera Music with Alex García Amat. Nuria is a co-founder of Remezcla.com, the pioneering Latine digital media company that launched in 2006 in New York and was its Editor-in-Chief. She was part of the editorial team that launched Univision’s Fusion TV channel in Miami in 2013.
At Univision, Nuria also led music coverage and content on its digital platforms and launched the U-LAB brand, an incubator for emerging music talent and content. She has has written for Rolling Stone, Billboard, EW, Mass Appeal, and The NY Daily News.
A graduate of Columbia Journalism School, Nuria is a lecturer at the University of Barcelona’s Journalism Master’s program and serves as a mentor for the National Hispanic Association’s Adelante Academy for latina journalists. Nuria was named a “Wonder Woman of Latin Music” by the Latin Alternative Music Conference 2022, has been part of Billboard’s 30 under 30 Top Executives in Media and was also included in LinkedIn’s first-ever ‘Next Wave’ – a list of 150 professionals, 35 and under, who are transforming key industries – in the media category. She was also chosen out of 500 applicants as part of the inaugural class of the Digital Women Leadership Academy organized by Poynter and the Online News Association.
