Las Cosmos podcast Ep.2 – Luis “Luislo” Lozano
Luislo is the leader of Çantamarta, a band that makes Latin music in Spain and that blends Caribbean slang, Spanish rhythms and Latin hip-hop. Born in Caracas to Colombian parents, Luis Ángel Lozano Acosta first came to Spain to study and then began playing guitar and singing in the streets of Granada, meeting Andalusians like Omar Roldán and Benito Casado, with whom he would create Çantamarta: the first band in Europe signed to Rimas, Bad Bunny’s label.
Luislo is a true Cosmos, at the forefront of cultural transformation in Spain. His band represents what happens when artists from different traditions come together to create music that is relevant, tasty and at the same time, socially conscious.
In the first season of Las Cosmos podcast, we explore Latin arts and culture in Spain, with creative Cosmolatines who are at the forefront. If you want to discover new talent and keep up with what’s happening in the cultural scene, this is your space.
