So….
Impossible to be happier with this award!
“For revealing the hidden history of Latin women in punk music. For accumulating interesting findings of the genre that range from the road movie to the idea of the fanzine transferred to audio. For the ambition in the sum of testimonies and for being a story that weaves through this musical genre, from a Latino perspective” – Ondas Awards
“Punk in Translation” is an 8-episode documentary series —hosted by Mexican punk artist Ceci Bastida— that depicts the Latino awakening in the early Hollywood punk scene and the Chicano punk revolution in East Los Angeles. It also explores Tijuana, Mexico, the famous city of sin that became a gateway for American gangs to Latin America. A story told by big stars such as: Alice Bag, Jello Biafra, Joan Jett, John Doe, Julieta Venegas and many more.
This is Audible’s first original production in English and Spanish.
Congratulations to the rest of the winners!
